Serving God isn't always easy. Opposition to serving Him, sometimes, comes from the most unlikeliest of places. Nevertheless, we must endure and pray for peace. 

Peaceful Sister

Fourteen-year-old Jelena tried to catch people’s attention with her appearance.

She wore two or three earrings in each ear. She had two or three rings on every finger. She wore bracelets and a silver necklace. She wore makeup.

Nobody could guess from her looks that she wasn’t happy. She wanted peace.

Preaching to the Blind

Two men gave sermons in Norway.

The first preacher was well dressed and, in the mind of the farmer wearing work clothes in the back of the room, a bit arrogant.

Opening a book, the preacher read a statement by Seventh-day Adventist Church cofounder Ellen White. Picking up another book, he read another statement by Ellen White. His whole sermon consisted of statements from Ellen White.

That didn’t bother Øystein Hogganvik, the 30-year-old farmer seated at the back of the room.
